Express Entry

Explore skilled-worker pathways to Canadian permanent residence.

Citizenship by Investment

Understand how investment-based immigration can fit a longer-term citizenship plan.

Canada does not offer direct citizenship in exchange for an investment. Qualifying entrepreneurs and investors may instead pursue an available business immigration route that leads to permanent residence. Citizenship is a separate, later application with its own requirements, including valid permanent resident status and the required period of physical presence in Canada.

Study Permit

Plan your Canadian education and prepare a well-supported permit application.

A study permit allows most foreign nationals to study at a designated learning institution in Canada. A complete application normally begins with a letter of acceptance and may also require a provincial or territorial attestation letter, evidence of sufficient funds, and documents showing that the applicant meets the conditions of temporary residence.

Visitors Visa

Prepare for tourism, a family visit, or eligible business travel to Canada.

A visitor visa, also called a Temporary Resident Visa, is placed in a passport to show that the holder meets the requirements to travel to Canada. Depending on nationality and method of travel, an electronic travel authorization may be required instead. Applicants must satisfy an officer that their visit is temporary and that they meet the applicable entry requirements.

Work Permit & LMIA

Understand employer-specific, open, and LMIA-supported work options.

Most foreign nationals need a work permit to work in Canada. An employer-specific permit is tied to conditions such as the employer, occupation, or location, while an open work permit is available only in defined situations. Some employers need a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment before a worker can apply; other positions may qualify for an LMIA exemption.

Business Immigration

Assess pathways for entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners.

Canada’s business immigration options vary by federal, provincial, and territorial programme. They may consider factors such as management experience, net worth, investment capacity, ownership, innovation, job creation, and active participation in a Canadian business. Programme availability changes, so the first step is to identify options that are currently open and suited to the applicant’s background.
